Suite à cette rencontre\, le public pourra approcher les marionnettes et leurs créateurs à la sortie de la salle de cinéma\, leur poser des questions et toucher ces objets et personnages qui prendront vie comme par magie! \nThe Animatou Festival and the Theâtre de Marionnette de Genève invite you to discover the challenges and possibilities of these different types of animation\, through talks and demonstrations by specialists in the film and theatre worlds: After the talk\, at the exit of the theatre\, audience members can meet the puppets and their creators\, ask questions and touch these objects and characters that magically come to life! \n  \nLA MARIONNETTE AU CINÉMA \nFormé à l’Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Visuels de Genève\, Grégory Beaussart s’est spécialisé dès 1997 dans la fabrication de marionettes pour des films d’animation en volume\, notamment pour la série Hôpital Hiltop des studios Folimage. C’est à ce titre qu’il a collaboré à tous les courts-métrages de Claude Barras. Il est devenu responsable de l’équipe de fabrication des marionnettes pour le long métrage Ma vie de Courgette de Claude Barras. \nPUPPETS IN THE MOVIES \nTrained at Geneva’s Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Visuels\, since 1997 Grégory Beaussart has specialized in the fabrication of puppets for stop motion animated films\, most notably for the series Hilltop Hospital by Folimage Studios. In this capacity\, he also worked on all of Claude Barras’ short films. He was head of the puppet making team for Barras’ feature film My Life as a Courgette. \nLA MARIONNETTE AU THÉATRE \nComment donne-t-on vie à une marionnette? Un peu trop peut-être… Dans Rasé de près (première apparition de Shaun le mouton) comme dans Un sacré pétrin (inédit au cinéma)\, l’amour aveugle de Wallace va précipiter le duo dans de folles aventures aux allures de polar! \nYou knew them as inventors? Now they’re entrepreneurs! Whether window cleaners or bakers\, Wallace and Gromit put their hearts into their work… maybe a bit too much. In both A Close Shave (with the first appearance of Shaun the Sheep) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (previously unreleased in cinemas)\, Wallace’s blind love leads the duo into outrageous adventures that play out like detective stories. \n  \n

Les trois prétendants partent alors en quête d’un présent extraordinaire. \nThree brothers live in perfect harmony until the day they fall in love with the same maiden\, the king’s daughter. Faced with this difficult choice\, the king announces he will give the princess’ hand to the man who brings her the most marvellous gift. But she must be careful – if she loses this precious toy\, her family\, and the entire kingdom\, could disappear. \n  \nPOLICHINELLE ET LE POISSON MAGIQUE \nUn jour\, un poisson magique mord à la ligne de Polichinelle. L’animal lui promet de satisfaire tous ses désirs s’il le laisse vivre. Les rêves de Polichinelle et de sa femme deviennent alors réalité. Mais leur perpétuelle insatisfaction risque de leur coûter cher… \nOne day\, a magic fish bites the bait on Polichinelle’s line. The animal promises to satisfy all the man’s desires if he allows him to live. And so the dreams of Polichinelle and his wife come true. But their constant dissatisfaction could cost them dearly. \n  \nL’OISEAU DE FEU \nLe roi Baldovino est en colère car on lui a dérobé une pomme d’or. Il demande au prince Biondello de retrouver le coupable\, qui n’est autre qu’un oiseau de feu. En le suivant jusqu’au repère du terrible mage Bardadargento\, il se fait capturer. Le sorcier lui propose un marché: sa liberté contre la belle princesse Vassilissa… \nKing Baldovino is angry because someone has stolen his golden apple. He asks Prince Biondello o capture the thief\, who turns out to be none other than a firebird. The Prince follows the bird to the hideout of the evil wizard Bardadargento and is captured. The sorcerer offers him a deal – his freedom in exchange for the beautiful princess Vassilissa.
