DESCRIPTION:VERNISSAGE LE JEUDI 5 OCTOBRE 2017 DE 18H À 21H EN PRÉSENCE DE L’ARTISTE NEXT DOOR GALLERY | RUE DE L’ARQUEBUSE 16 | 1204 GENÈVE \n\n\n\n\n\nExposition visible durant toute la période du festival \n\n\n\n\nFigure emblématique de l’illustration under- ground\, se définissant lui-même comme «dictateur graphique»\, Pakito Bolino\, crée à Marseille\, il y a plus de 20 ans\, Le Dernier Cri\, un collectif d’artistes hors normes qui évolue aux antipodes de la narration et de l’illustration conventionnelle\, en explorant sans ménagement le champ de l’image sauvage. \nIl publie les travaux graphiques de nombreux artistes de la scène plastique alternative contemporaine\, comme entre autres Thomas Ott\, Pierre La Police\, Winschluss\, Moolinex\, Henriette Valium\, Fredox\, Keiti Ota\, Charles Burns\, Francis Masse ou encore les frères Guedin.\n Sérigraphe\, coloriste\, auteur de BD\, musicien\, réalisateur\, il exploite\, sous toutes ses formes\, un univers souvent déstabilisant\, cru\, obsessionnel et instinctif\, aux limites de l’Art brut.\n Il a coréalisé en 2006 avec Scott Blatty le long métrage d’animation Les Religions Sauvages et a créé la bande sonore de son adaptation en ciné-concert avec Virgile Abela et Cyril Bilbéaud. \n\n\n\n\nExhibition on display during the whole festival period \n\n\n\n\nPakito Bolino is an emblematic figure in the world of underground illustration who describes himself as a «graphic dictator». More than 20 years ago in Marseille\, he founded Le Dernier Cri\, a collective of outsider artists who push the boundaries of conventional narration and illustration by exploring the terrain of the savage image\, no holds barred. He publishes the graphic works of a number of artists on the contemporary alternative arts scene\, including works by Thomas Ott\, Pierre La Police\, Winschluss\, Moolinex\, Henriette Valium\, Fredox\, Keiti Ota\, Charles Burns\, Francis Masse and the Frères Guedin. A silk screener\, colorist\, comics author\, musician\, and director\, Bolino delves into all possible forms of a destabilizing\, raw\, obsessional and instinctive world\, at the limits of Art Brut. \nIn 2006\, the collective produced an animation film called Savage Religions under Pakito’s artistic dictatorship. You can play with it on bouboucle.com\, but if you want to make an animation that’s projected at Animatou\, you need to come to the festival. \n  \nANDRÉAS KÜNDIG \nAndréas Kündig est un dessinateur des années 90\, mais intervient sur ce projet surtout en tant que programmeur. Il co-organise par ailleurs le meetup de programmation gongfu/io qui a lieu tous les jeudis soirs dans une pizzeria. \nAndréas Kündig is a comics artist from the 90s\, but contributes to this project mainly as a programmer. Besides\, he co-organizes the programming meetup gongfu/io\, which takes place every thursday evening in a pizzeria. \n  \nIVAN GULIZIA \nIvan Gulizia est un artiste et designer. Diplômé de la HEAD – Genève en Communication Visuelle\, il y poursuit actuellement son cursus en Master Media Design. Un soir\, il débarque au meetup «gongfu/io»\npour trouver un programmeur qui serait d’accord de réaliser l’une de ses idées. Il paraît qu’il n’est pas le premier à avoir essayé\, mais qu’il est le seul à y être parvenu.. Ce qui est certain\, c’est que grâce à Andréas cette idée est devenue Bouboucle! \nIvan Gulizia is an artist and designer. He holds a BA from the HEAD – Genève Art School in Visual Communication\, and is currently working on his Media Design Master of Arts. One night\, he turned up at the ‘gongfu/io’ meetup to try and find a programmer who might agree to carry out one of his concepts. Apparently many have tried and all have failed – but him! Albertine & Germano Zullo collaborent tout deux régulièrement et participent à la création de films d’animation. Lors de cette rencontre\, ils vous feront découvrir les mécanismes d’adaptation de leurs ouvrages au cinéma. Cette rencontre sera suivie d’une séance de dédicaces avec différents auteurs et illustrateurs de bandes dessinées. \nIn conjunction with Payot Bookstore – Nature & Découverte Switzerland\, the Festival is holding a «lecture-screening» with Albertine and Germano Zullo\, the Genevan illustrator and author\, respectively\, of children’s books\, columns\, short stories and erotic and poetic works. Albertine and Germano Zullo both regularly collaborate on the creation of animated films. During this event\, they will discuss their methods for adapting their works to film. The talk will be followed by an autograph session with a number of comics authors and illustrators.

C’est à ce titre qu’il a collaboré à tous les courts-métrages de Claude Barras. Il est devenu responsable de l’équipe de fabrication des marionnettes pour le long métrage Ma vie de Courgette de Claude Barras. \nPUPPETS IN THE MOVIES \nTrained at Geneva’s Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Visuels\, since 1997 Grégory Beaussart has specialized in the fabrication of puppets for stop motion animated films\, most notably for the series Hilltop Hospital by Folimage Studios. In this capacity\, he also worked on all of Claude Barras’ short films. You can play with it on bouboucle.com\, but if you want to make an animation that’s projected at Animatou\, you need to come to the festival. \n  \nANDRÉAS KÜNDIG \nAndréas Kündig est un dessinateur des années 90\, mais intervient sur ce projet surtout en tant que programmeur. Il co-organise par ailleurs le meetup de programmation gongfu/io qui a lieu tous les jeudis soirs dans une pizzeria. \nAndréas Kündig is a comics artist from the 90s\, but contributes to this project mainly as a programmer. Besides\, he co-organizes the programming meetup gongfu/io\, which takes place every thursday evening in a pizzeria. \n  \nIVAN GULIZIA \nIvan Gulizia est un artiste et designer. Diplômé de la HEAD – Genève en Communication Visuelle\, il y poursuit actuellement son cursus en Master Media Design. Un soir\, il débarque au meetup «gongfu/io» pour trouver un programmeur qui serait d’accord de réaliser l’une de ses idées. Il paraît qu’il n’est pas le premier à avoir essayé\, mais qu’il est le seul à y être parvenu.. Ce qui est certain\, c’est que grâce à Andréas cette idée est devenue Bouboucle! \nIvan Gulizia is an artist and designer. He holds a BA from the HEAD – Genève Art School in Visual Communication\, and is currently working on his Media Design Master of Arts. One night\, he turned up at the ‘gongfu/io’ meetup to try and find a programmer who might agree to carry out one of his concepts. Apparently many have tried and all have failed – but him! In any case\, thanks to Andréas his concept became reality as the Bouboucle project.

Le film réalisé pendant ces trois jours sera diffusé lors de la rencontre et discussion autour des questions de la migration et de l’intégration à l’Auditorium du MEG samedi 14 octobre entre 16h et 17h30. \nThis three-day artistic creation workshop is led by Andrea Martignoni\, a major soundtrack director in Italy. DESCRIPTION:PROGRAMME SPÉCIAL DE 10 COURTS-MÉTRAGES ISSUS DE LA COMPÉTITION INTERNATIONALE – 58 ’ \n\nAnimatou est heureux de présenter pour la 3ème année consécutive\, en collaboration avec le Département de santé mentale et de psychiatrie et les Affaires culturelles des HUG\, un programme exclusif de courts-métrages extraits de la compétition internationale 2017 à l’attention des patients et du public extérieur. Ces films concourent pour le Prix du public Belle- Idée. Une façon de permettre à ces voix souvent silencieuses d’être entendues et d’exprimer leur sensibilité en votant pour leur film favori. Un trophée tricoté\, créé par l’artiste Gentesia\, sera décerné pour ce prix honorifique. \nAnimatou is proud to present for the 3rd consecutive year an exclusive program of animated shorts in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatry and the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). The films were selected from this year’s International Competition especially for the hospital patients and the outside public\, and will compete for the Belle-Idée Public Award which will be granted by the audience. A way to give an echo to voices that are too often silent in today’s society. A hand-knitted trophy created by the artist Gentesia will be given to the winner for this honorary award.
