6 avril 1994. Un jour comme les autres s’est transformé en apocalypse pour le peuple rwandais. À Kigali, Valentine et Jean-Claude forment un nouveau couple de jeunes parents lorsque la menace d’une hécatombe de masse s’abat sur tout leur pays. Avec l’aide de plusieurs personnes, ils multiplieront leurs tentatives de s’évader de leur région avec leur bébé pour échapper au pire.
