Dans une campagne reculée, Marcel, un vieux paysan retraité, continue à s’occuper de ses terres et de ses brebis. Un matin d’été, alors qu’il est terrassé par un AVC, son troupeau s’échappe et une vision onirique lui apparaît. À son retour de l’hôpital, Marcel découvre qu’il reste une brebis dans son champ vide. Le vieil homme va tout faire pour reformer son troupeau malgré son corps affaibli et les inquiétudes de sa femme Madeleine.
In the remote countryside, Marcel ,an old retired farmer, continues to tend his land and his sheep. One summer morning, as he is overcome by a stroke, his flock escapes and a dreamlike vision appears to him. On his return from hospital, Marcel discovers that there is one ewe left in his empty field. The old man will do everything in his power to re-form his flock, despite his weakened body and the worries of his wife Madeleine.
