Underwater explores the fantasy of submerging ourselves with touch, sound, smell and colour, the way sea-beings do. Our main line of communication with the underseas is currently through the trash and microplastics we leave behind. Some call this the era defined by humans, but nature often shows us that as humans we are also nature. What if technology progresses to the point of real-time translation of whale-songs, or dolphin speech? Will we learn from the way the underwater talks or colonise the deep even further?
