Le Théâtre des Marionnettes de Genève (TMG), en collaboration avec le Festival Animatou, présente le long métrage de fiction Strings (Le Fil de la vie) de Anders Ronnow- Klarlund. Ce film épopée suit le périple palpitant d’un jeune héros vers la vérité et l’amour, au coeur d’un univers mythologique fascinant où les personnages sont des marionnettes à fils, conscientes de leur condition.
Ce film a été réalisé avec la participation du célèbre marionnettiste à fils anglais Stephen Mottram, qui jouera dans The Seed Carriers, un spectacle sans paroles, présenté du 9 au 18 octobre 2015 au Théâtre des Marionnettes de Genève.
Stephen Mottram introduira la projection et répondra à l’issue de celle-ci aux questions du public.
En première partie, projection du court-métrage d’animation, Mythopolis (2013) de la réalisatrice tchèque Alexandra Hetmerová, prix Jeune public RTS 2014 au festival Animatou, transposition moderne de la vie quotidienne de héros mythologiques.

The Marionnette Theatre of Geneva (TMG), in collaboration with the Animatou Festival, presents the feature fiction film Strings by Anders Ronnow-Klarlund. This epic film follows the thrilling journey of a young protagonist towards truth and love, in a fascinating mythological universe where the characters are puppets on strings who are fully aware of their condition.
The film was made with the participation of famous English puppetteer Stephen Mottram, who will play in The Seed Carriers, a silent performance at the Marionnette Theatre of Geneva from 9 to 18 October 2015. Stephen Mottram will introduce the film and answer questions from the audience after the screening.
The film will be preceded by the animated short Mythopolis (2013) by Czech filmmaker Alexandra Hetmerová. This short imagines the transposition to modern times of the daily life of mythological heros, and received Animatou’s Young Public Award in 2014.
