Ariane joue au ballon. L’appel de sa mère coupe ce jeu. Elle perd son ballon, son enfance. Le vingtième siècle et la vie d’Ariane s’écoulent suspendus au fil du balcon. Inconsciemment Ariane va composer le tableau final et retrouver son enfance volée.
Ariadne is playing with a ball, but she is interrupted when her mother calls her inside. She drops her ball, and loses her childhood. The 20th century and Ariadne's life play out on her balcony. As she nears the end of her life, she finds her lost childhood again.
