La HEAD-Genève (Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design – Genève) a organisé en octobre 2016 un workshop autour du film d’animation destiné aux étudiants en filière communication visuelle. Le réalisateur italien Mauro Carraro, basé à Genève depuis de nombreuses années, a proposé un atelier autour de la technique du dessin animé en 3D. Durant une semaine, 12 étudiant-e-s ont appréhendé l’utilisation de logiciel 3D et ont découvert l’art du compositing en animation afin de réaliser la bande annonce officielle du Festival Animatou 2017. Le résultat de ce workshop est un film d’animation d’une vingtaine de secondes avec une multitude d’approches différentes.
In October 2016, the HEAD-Geneva (University of Art and Design – Geneva) organized a workshop on animated film for students specializing in visual communication. Italian director Mauro Carraro, long based in Geneva, led the workshop, which was focused on 3D cartoon animation techniques. Over the course of one week, 12 students learned to use 3D software and explored the art of animation compositing in order to create the Animatou Festival’s official 2017 trailer. The result of the workshop is a 20-second animated film that combines a multitude of different approaches.
