En marge des sections compétitives suisses et internationales et des programmes hors compétition, nous vous invitons à découvrir l’animation suisse au Musée d’Ethnographie de Genève, où nous célébrerons les 50 ans du Groupement suisse d’animation (GSFA), initié à Genève par Bruno Edera, Nag et Gisèle Ansorge, Georges Schwizgebel, Claude Luyet et Daniel Suter.
L’artiste Thomas Perrodin qui a créé le visuel 2018 illustre une Suisse radieuse et fertile avec un Cervin ruisselant de précieuses sources. Notre pays serait-il un jardin d’Eden?
Pour y répondre, Animatou vous convie à «La belle Suisse», une déclinaison de programmes de courts métrages d’animation, où plus de 100 réalisateurs/-trices suisses se font l’écho de nos préoccupations, questionnent nos pratiques et nourrissent notre imagination. «Tout ce qui peut être imaginé est réel» dit le peintre Pablo Picasso.

In addition to the Swiss and international competitions and off-competition screenings, come discover the world of Swiss animation at Geneva’s Museum of Ethnography, where we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Swiss Animation Film Group (GSFA), founded in Geneva by Bruno Edera, Nag and Gisèle Ansorge, Georges Schwizgebel, Claude Luyet and Daniel Suter.
Artist Thomas Perrodin created this year’s posters and visuals, which feature a glowing, fertile Switzerland whose rich streams flow down from the Matterhorn. Could our country be a Garden of Eden? To find out, we invite you to come check out “La belle Suisse” a series of Swiss short animated line-ups with films dating from the 1920s to today, where more than 100 Swiss filmmakers take up our concerns, interrogate our customs and feed our imaginations. As Pablo Picasso once said, ‘Everything you can imagine is real.’
