Je suis particulièrement heureux que l’Italie soit le pays invité d’honneur de la 12ème édition du Festival international du film d’animation Animatou.
C’est un grand honneur et une magnifique occasion de montrer l’exceptionnel talent artistique italien à un public international. L’Italie a, d’ailleurs, une très grande tradition dans les films d’animations que le monde entier lui reconnaît. Cette année, le festival propose un programme riche de films italiens d’animation contemporains et historiques, avec des programmes publicitaires des années 50 à 70, et plusieurs autres oeuvres particulièrement passionnantes. Il ne faudra pas manquer les intéressantes rencontres et discussions sur la migration, notamment la migration italienne en Suisse d’après-guerre en collaboration avec le Musée d’Ethnographie de Genève. C’est donc un grand plaisir de savoir que ce festival sert également à renforcer les excellents liens interpersonnels et culturels entre l’Italie et la Suisse. Encore une fois, je voudrais remercier toute l’équipe d’Animatou pour cette belle occasion. I am delighted that Italy is the country of honor for the 12th edition of the Animatou International Film

It is a great honor and a magnificent occasion to show
exceptional Italian artistic talent to an international public. Italy,
indeed, has an outstanding tradition of animated film that is recognized
around the world. This year, the Festival has put together a rich
line-up of contemporary and historic Italian animated films, including
advertisements from the 50s to 70s, in addition to a number of other
intriguing works. Also not to be missed are the stimulating meetings and
discussions on migration, in particular postwar Italian migration in
Switzerland, held in partnership with Geneva’s Museum of Ethnography.
It is a great pleasure to know that the Festival will also serve to
strengthen the interpersonal and cultural ties between Italy and
Switzerland.
