During the Pleistocene epoch, fifteen thousand years ago, just before the end of the great Ice Age, two saber-toothed tigers and a singularity are born in a cave. Too different from the others and deemed unfit for survival, the singularity is banished from the group. Cast out into a hostile world, it will spend its existence searching for its place.
