Les enjeux formels du documentaire animé
Si la Suisse est reconnue pour son cinéma documentaire et pour ses films d’animation, rares sont les films qui marient les deux approches, malgré un intérêt croissant des producteurs et du public pour l’animation documentaire. Ce séminaire offre aux participants une occasion de questionner les possibilités de ce cinéma à la croisée des genres.
Quatre projets de films suisses et européens constitueront le point de départ de la réflexion sur les enjeux formels de cette hybridation. Les intervenants partageront leurs expériences, exemples à l’appui; ils traiteront les aspects artistiques, mais aussi productionnels et techniques en lien avec leur travail.
Indépendamment de son format (court, long, série), le documentaire animé est un genre qui offre un champ de création très vaste, à condition que le dialogue entre les disciplines soit ouvert et sans préjugé. Ce séminaire veut y contribuer.
Although Switzerland is recognized for its documentary cinema and its animated films, it is rare to find films that unite the two approaches, despite a growing interest on the part of producers and audiences for documentary animated films. This seminar offers participants a chance to interrogate the possibilities of such a cinema at the crossroads of genres.
Four Swiss and European film projects will serve as the point of depart for reflection on the formal concerns of this hybridization. Speakers will share their experiences, drawing on examples; they will examine not only the artistic aspects, but also the productionrelated and technical aspects related to their work.
Independent of its format (short, long, series), the animated documentary is a genre that offers a vast terrain of creation, provided that dialogue between the disciplines is open and without prejudice. This seminar hopes to contribute to such a dialogue.
